A new space, a new environment, and a completely different frame of mind.
Vacations allow for that.
While on vacation and walking solo, I began reflecting on how our inner parts shape the way we experience the world—how their fears, insecurities, and pain influence our thoughts, feelings, and actions.
Multiplicity: A colorful inner landscape, where each part exists with the same purpose—to protect us, to keep us safe.
Sometimes, a new environment can unsettle the system. One part might feel joy and freedom, while another feels anxious or even terrified. That’s the paradox—vacation can be exciting for some parts and destabilizing for others.
Checking in with our parts helps. Updating them and letting them know what to expect can bring a little calm. Listening to their concerns, honoring their feelings, and offering reassurance builds trust and safety—inviting more space for Self energy to emerge.
As I inhaled the fresh air and took in the beauty around me, I noticed the qualities of Self—calm, clarity, confidence, curiosity, courage, and connectedness—begin to rise. I felt the absence of inner conflict. My system was whole. The parts stepped back, and in that quiet, I could simply be in the present moment.
Do you find it hard to relax—even on vacation?
Would you like to meet your parts, get to know them, and maybe even help them heal?
If that resonates with you, I’d love to connect. There’s calm waiting for you, too.
